The buoy light (lamp) is partially out of the water. In this case the water constitutes the lamp stand made out of cement or thin set. The lamp stand is made to resemble waves and the buoy is cut off at the bottom so that it looks like the bottom part of it is under the water. To simulate the movement of the buoy in the water there are several different slants and angles of each buoy. Every buoy is different. Inside of the buoy is a light which emits the ‘light message’. These messages are copies of the last Morse codes of sunken ships. In this way each buoy blinks ‘silently’ its own message.
